His final appearance is after defeating Prince Dail. He finally realizes the truth, and helps them save the others. Once defeated, Carol and Milla explain that Lilac and Torque have been kidnapped, and that Brevon murdered his father. Spade then appears as the boss of Trap Hideout. Lilac attempts to inform him that Lord Brevon is his' father's murderer, but he refuses to listen. He next appears as the boss of the Fire Ship in Sky Battalion. He is attacked by Serpentine and flees once more. Spade's next appearance is before Fortune Night, where he explains that he had already ridden himself of the Kingdom Stone, giving it to Mayor Zao. After exchanging words (and blows) with Lilac and Carol, he flees with the Stone. Spade first appears before the boss of Relic Maze, when he steals the ancient artifact known as the Kingdom Stone for Mayor Zao. It is unknown why he joined the Red Scarves, being royalty. It is inferred that he was close to them, but when they left, it sparked a deep hatred for the two within him. Like Shadow, he's cold and vengeful, in Freedom Planet 2 he gains a charming part to add to his personality.īefore the events of Freedom Planet, Spade was a member of the thieves known as the Red Scarves, alongside Lilac and Carol. He also holds grudges, as seen in the way he treats Lilac and Carol after they left the Red Scarves. He is unwilling to listen to reason, such as when Lilac tried to inform him that Lord Brevon was the one who murdered his father. In the upcoming Freedom Planet 2, his appearance has been altered with white jeans, a black jacket, and the removal of his red fingerless gloves. I hope he likes it! Source: is an anthropomorphic white panda, who wears a red scarf, a black tank top, red fingerless gloves and brown baggy pants with red-tinted shades. Still, this is the single most complicated piece of art I’ve ever produce. Donno how good a Syntax I’d be able to pull off though. Maybe if he just voiced Torque’s lines I’d complete the reading myself. Seymour, but it came out a little longer than I expected, and it’s probably more of a request than is polite. I was debating making a request of a dramatic reading from Mr. I’m quite proud of how it came out though! I wrote a short story to accompany the picture, which can be found in the deviantart description (just click the picture, it’ll take you there, warning though, it does spoil some minor elements of the game’s story). I had a lot of help from a friend with the background and the lighting, which is a realm of art that I’m just not used to doing. Patrick Seymour who has graciously given me a small ounce of his time to notice my little bits of fan art of the fantastic game of Freedom Planet! Heck, he’s probably the reason one of them even showed up on the game’s Facebook page (though I have to admit, I’m disappointed that there’s not source link for said picture. An excellent throwback with a lot of wonderful modern amenities (like fully- and well done- voice-acted cutscenes). I consider it to Sega what Shovel Knight was to Nintendo. He’s not even playable (yet) but he keeps the group on task and pointed in the right direction.īut really, if you enjoy 90s platformers, really give this one a look. Just sat down and drew him! Here’s Commander Torque, the ipso-facto 'leader’ of the group that comprises the main characters of the game. This here isn’t one of the main characters, so to speak, and, really… there’s nothing of particular note. Sure it started as a Sonic fangame, but the developers have managed to make enough of a divergence from your classic Sonic game that it really has come into it’s own. Snagged ‘Freedom Planet’ on a GoG.com sale last week, and I’ve been playing it pretty steadily ever since.
